Product Description: A product for the treatment of rust and protection of all ferrous surfaces—whether rusted, new, painted, or unpainted. It features a practical measuring spout and is ready to use, offering fast application and high yield. With very low toxicity, Ferox is water-based and solvent-free, making it safe for use even in closed or poorly ventilated environments. It chemically reacts with rust, transforming it into a stable, black complex that, once overpainted, is resistant to environmental factors and moisture. It’s also effective on painted or non-rusted areas, where it forms a transparent coating. Suitable for overpainting with any type of paint—water-based or solvent-based. Method of Use: Surface preparation: Unpainted surfaces: Brush off loose or poorly adhered rust. Remove remaining dust with a cloth dampened with water. Painted surfaces: Brush away flaking paint and loose rust. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Application: The product is ready to use. For spray application, dilute with water up to a maximum of 15–18%. Shake well before use. Pour only the needed amount into a plastic container; do not return leftover product to the original bottle. Overpaintable after 12 hours. At a minimum temperature of 20 °C and humidity below 60%, overpainting can be done after just 15 minutes. Wash tools immediately after use with water. Treated surfaces should be overpainted with a quality finish paint within 24–36 hours. If kept indoors and sheltered from the weather, this can extend up to 2–3 weeks.
