HOW TO PLAY THE MINI KALIMBA

Place the kalimba in your hands and use your thumbs to gently pluck the tines downward while the rest of your fingers support the kalimba firmly. The numbers represent the musical notes of the kalimba, with 1 being C, 2 being D and so on. Experiment with the sound, mix and match notes to create your own melodies and adjust your touch for softer or louder sounds. You can tune it with a tuning hammer (if you don’t have one, use a small wooden or rubber hammer). To confirm the tuning sounds right, use gentle taps — small adjustments make a difference!
