First steps toward independence: potty training with care and without stress

Every new skill a child learns is a small milestone. Potty training is no exception. For a toddler, it is another step toward independence, and for parents, it is a time when patience, calmness, and support are especially important.

It is natural to want everything to happen quickly, but it is important to remember that every child has their own pace. Some children learn to use the potty easily, while others need more time. And that is completely normal.

A few important rules

— praise even small attempts;
— stay calm about setbacks;
— take breaks if the child is not ready yet.

You can also bring in an element of play: sit a doll or a favorite teddy bear on the potty, create a small ritual, and support your child with kind words. Children learn best in exactly this kind of atmosphere.

The most important thing is to remember that this is not an exam and not a competition. It is simply another stage of growing up, and it will certainly be achieved.
