Starting from the 34th week of pregnancy, you can prepare for childbirth by regularly massaging the perineum with this Weleda oil, which improves skin elasticity and helps it adapt to delivery. The oil contains sweet almond oil and wheat germ oil, rich in vitamin E, which are particularly suitable for perineal massage. Regular use makes the skin more elastic and relaxed, preparing it for childbirth.
The oil nourishes the skin and helps it prepare for delivery. Regular massage keeps the skin soft and elastic. The product is dermatologically tested and is part of Weleda's product line for pregnant women and new mothers. It is developed in collaboration with experienced midwives and pharmacists.
Usage:
Starting from the 34th week of pregnancy, massage the perineum 3–4 times a week for 5–10 minutes each time. You can perform the massage yourself or ask your partner. Before the massage, it is recommended to take a warm bath and ensure that you do not need to use the bathroom. Sit comfortably and relax.
Dampen your thumb with massage oil (if your partner is performing the massage, they can use their index finger) and gently glide the finger over the perineal skin, avoiding discomfort. Then insert the finger into the vagina up to the second joint and continue massaging.
