Katarek Simple - rhinitis aspirator for children Katarek Simple is the simplest, basic model of an aspirator connected to a vacuum cleaner. In the packaging includes the Katarek Standard aspirator. It has a single, unscrewed chamber with a secretion container and a vacuum cleaner suction reducer. The device comes with two interchangeable tips attached to the baby's nose. How does the Katarek Simple aspirator work? Why do we connect it to a vacuum cleaner? In home conditions, only a vacuum cleaner is able to generate a steady, suction force, which will allow the runny nose to be "pulled out" even from the deeper parts of the child's nose. We connect the aspirator to the vacuum cleaner tube (circular cross-section), mount the tip and apply it to both nostrils for a few seconds. The runny nose lands in the reservoir in the aspirator chamber, which then needs to be rinsed under warm, running water. Aspiration by the 3-step method The correct aspiration process is described in the 3-Step Method. First, we thin the runny nose by applying a few drops of saline to the baby's nose. Then we extract the runny nose with the Katarek Simple aspirator, and finally moisturize the nasal mucosa using the salt remaining in the ampoule. After aspiration, the toddler has an unobstructed nose, he can breathe freely, eat and sleep. Pumping out a runny nose reduces the risk of complications, such as otitis, bronchitis or pneumonia.
