Magical, this activity is inspired by a process borrowed from photography: cyanotype. Using opaque patterns and natural elements of their choice, the child creates scenes on photosensitive paper. After exposure to the sun, the paper is marked with negative patterns. Simply rinse the paper in a bath of clear water, and the scene reveals itself against a blue background! Nature-inspired patterns to create 8 nocturnal and poetic artworks. Set includes 8 sheets of photosensitive paper (21 x 28 cm), 12 patterns printed on acetate and 1 sheet of Plexiglas. The sheets can be used on their own with plants you've picked or printed illustrations provided. A simple, complete starter kit to take your first steps in cyanotype. A simplified activity with no need to mix chemicals! A whole new approach to illustration by printing patterns on acetate film! A magical, poetic activity where each creation is unique.
